Whitney Westgate told me that she was raised an "Army Brat", which merely means that her parent(s) served in the military full-time. Military families are relocated frequently and the children grow up never having a distinct hometown. I am not sure if this had a lasting effect on Whitney, but I feel certain that she is one of the sweetest girls I have ever photographed. We took these at the VA, which is federal land right by where I live. Luckily, there were some chill MPs on duty that day.
